Public Sharing

By default, all CVs you create on EZCV are strictly private and only visible to you when logged in.

Making a CV Public

If you want to share a live link to your CV (e.g., on LinkedIn or Twitter):

  1. Go to your Dashboard.
  2. Click the Share button on a CV card.
  3. Toggle "Public Access" in the Public Sharing Settings modal.
  4. You will be given a unique, secure URL that you can share with anyone.

URL Slugs

  • Free Users: Your public CV gets an auto-generated random URL (e.g., /p/a1b2c3d4e5)
  • Supporters: Choose one custom slug for your primary CV (e.g., /p/yourname), plus random URLs for other public CVs

Search Engine Indexing

When your CV is public, you can optionally allow search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) to discover and index it:

  1. Open the Public Sharing Settings modal
  2. Toggle "Search Engine Indexing" on or off
  3. When enabled, your CV will be added to our site's search engine sitemap and may appear in search results over time

Note: This only works if your CV has been public for a while. Search engines take time to discover and index new pages.
